About Morag

Morag is a specialist planning lawyer who deals with contentious and non-contentious planning related work.

After many years advising clients from within established law firms Morag has decided to take advantage of a new way of practicing as a solicitor, introduced in November 2019, and become a freelance solicitor,  continuing to work directly for clients, but within the freedom of her own practice.

Morag advises on all aspects of the planning process from inception to permission and beyond. She advises residential and commercial property developers, landowners and local authorities on a wide range of developments – from the small to the very large.  Morag is particularly experienced in major planning inquiry work and the negotiation and drafting of complex Section 106 Agreements and other infrastructure related agreements. In recent years Morag has been heavily involved in advising on “nationally significant infrastructure projects” pursued through applications for Development Consent Orders.
